What To Do In Lexington After You Arrive

Once you have flown into Lexington, and you have everything at your hotel, it’s time to start to do things that are fun. You want to enjoy yourself there, and there are many things that are available for tourists that have just come in. If you want to go on a hike, the Legacy Trail is a great family trail, one that you and your kids will enjoy. It’s an outdoor activity that will give you a basic overview of what to expect in this beautiful city in Kentucky. Here are a few other things to consider doing that will be fun to do.

Three Historic Sites To See

The next thing that you will need to do after doing down nature walk is going to some of the historic sites that are available. This will include going to the Waveland State Historic Site, or the Mary Todd Lincoln house. Another places the Henry Clay estate, and after you have seen these, you will be up on some of the top places to visit in Lexington-related to history. Once that is done, you can go to a few of the cathedrals or churches that are also available.

Churches And Cathedrals To Visit

The first place to go is the Cathedral of Christ the King. The next would be the Quest Community location where concerts are often presented. These two locations can give you a chance to worship, and also interact with many of the people in the town that are perhaps religious as you are. Once you have done that, you can then head over to the Lexington Cemetery, paying respects to those that have died for honorable reasons in the past. Finally, you can start to do a couple of fun things like the Kentucky Horse Park, the Thoroughbred Center, and some of the other fun destinations.

Lexington has a lot to offer for people that have never been there, and there is also gambling that you can do. You can check out the bourbon at some of the many different pubs, and take tours of breweries if you want to. Once you are done, you will have had a full week in this city which has a lot to offer, and you may want to move on to different cities like Frankfurt, Louisville, or Bowling Green. There is so much to do, and if you have the time, spend a little more of your vacation time in Kentucky visiting many places including Lexington.
